Anshul Jain is the CEO of DTZ’s operations in India and is based in Delhi NCR.

Anshul has over 15 years of experience in international real estate advisory services.  In the last fifteen years, Anshul has held responsibilities across various real estate functions with leading property advisory practices both in Asia Pacific & Europe.

His diverse experience ranges from advising multinational corporations on regional facilities and work place solutions, financial feasibility on infrastructure projects, private equity placements in property, valuations and direct property investments across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Anshul has completed his MBA from IMD Lausanne in Switzerland and holds a Masters Degree in Finance & Control from Department of Financial Studies, Delhi University.

Avneet Soni studied  Commerce  at  Delhi  University  & Experience International  trade   from IITC.  Has  vast experience in Real Estate, Import & Export trade & Special Economic Zones. Worked in Dubai for  2 years  as  Country head for a company   trading   in   Commodities   and providing  Financial  Services  based out of Free Port.

Was associated with an Infrastructure Company establishing three SEZ Projects in three different States. Was instrumental in formulation, planning & approvals of the Projects.

Has handful experience & exposure about expanding Real Estate Sector, SEZ’s & Free Trade Zones.

Is reputed and well-known professional in the field of international trade & Real Estate Sector.

Presently working as Director, with Omaxe Limited, a listed real estate company based out of Delhi, with pan-India presence & turnover exceeding USD 550 Million for the year ending 2008.

At Omaxe, he is managing company’s Projects in the State of Punjab & Chhattisgarh. He is also heading Omaxe’s Hospitality business and 5000 hectare Multi Product SEZ at Alwar, Rajasthan.

Balaji Rao, Managing Director of Starwood Capital India is responsible for all investment and development activities in India. As the Country Head, he is charged with the goal of propelling Starwood Capital as one of the leading Real Estate Investment Managers in India.

Before joining Starwood, Balaji was the Managing Director of TCG Real Estate where he entrepreneurially created from scratch one of the country’s leading commercial property development companies with a portfolio of approx.10 million sq ft spanning the 6 major metropolitan cities of India. At the time of his leaving, the enterprise valuation of his firm was estimated at INR 10 billion.

He previously served as Head of Property for ANZ Bank, India, where he was directly responsible for a property portfolio of INR 12 Billion. Prior to that he was Head – Mortgages & Business Financial Services at Standard Chartered Bank, India where he built a consumer mortgage and developer financing of INR 8 billion. He also served as General Manager, Marketing, for India’s leading Developer, K. Raheja Group where he executed deals of INR 6 billion spanning a total area of approx 2.5 mil sq ft. and spearheaded the group’s foray into large Retail formats and the hospitality business. Earlier in his career he did stints with Sony, Puma and ITC.

Balaji brings with him 20 years of experience in the real estate sector ranging from developing and marketing commercial property, managing property portfolios to mortgage financing. Besides being a National Merit Scholarship holder, Balaji received a First Class Honors Degree in Commerce from the University of Calcutta. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and is a rank holding Chartered Accountant. Balaji is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Kuldip has 20 years of experience in research, infrastructure and real estate, including 10 years of leadership experience at organizations like ICICI, IL&FS, Unitech and Red Fort Capital. He is currently a Director and responsible for both risk and asset management, apart from active involvement with underwriting investments at Red Fort Capital. Based at Delhi, India, he has been with the firm since 2007.

His prior experience includes Fund manager and COO at India's leading developer, Unitech, where he set up and ran the third party and in-house investment business, raising and managing US$ 250 million across a range of funds; COO at VLCC where he raised 2 rounds of funding, expanded and ran one of India's largest retail chains; Founding team member and Principal at IL&FS Investment Managers where he invested and monitored portfolio investments in infrastructure in a private equity fund with AIG; Fund Manager at a early stage investment business in a JV of ANZ Bank (now Standard Chartered) and 3i Capital of UK; Investment and Research Director at Chescor Capital, one of the early FIIs investing in public markets; and ICICI Bank where he was responsible for debt and project finance.

He is a frequent speaker at international and Indian conferences on private equity and real estate. Kuldip is a recipient of the Udyog Ratna Award in 2009 and holds an MBA with a major in finance from one of India's top 5 management schools, FMS, and a graduate with Honors in Economics.

Mr. Rajesh Jaggi
Managing Director, Peninsula Land Limited

Rajesh has over 12 years of experience in managing real estate development projects with in-depth knowledge across the value chain and asset classes, being jointly responsible for the real estate, facility management and realty fund businesses of Peninsula Land and the Ashok Piramal Group.

His most prominent contributions have been in the form of innovative ideas and value-additions in the form of asset class diversification and geographic expansion.

He has been involved in the landmark and iconic developments of Crossroads, India’s first world class retail mall and Peninsula Corporate Park, Central Mumbai’s first large size integrated business park. Having spearheaded Peninsula Land’s expansion to a multi city, multi asset presence, he has been chosen by Business Today Magazine as one of Hottest Young Executives, 2009. Sanjay Dutt

Current Responsibilities
Sanjay Dutt is the CEO Business for Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj, leading a large team of seasoned real estate professionals across 10 cities. He is instrumental in delivering a wide range of real estate services including retail, residential, capital markets, markets and land, apart from providing overall strategy plan, business development and risk mitigation strategy for the India business.

Sanjay is involved in further strengthening our presence across industry verticals and geographies in India. His key focus is to build relationships with local, regional and global investors, occupiers and developers of real estate. At the same time, Sanjay plays a key role in further raising the service delivery bar for our prestigious clientele in India.

Experience
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj, Sanjay held the position of Joint Managing Director, Cushman & Wakefield managing their business in India.

Sanjay has a total work experience of over 20 years, which includes 13 years of real estate experience across cities in India. His experience in real estate industry covers transaction services, land acquisitions/dispositions, sale & lease of offices, retail, residential developments besides acquisition & disposition of income generating assets.

Sanjay started his career with Logistic industry in 1988 and worked in the industry until 1994, which included his stint as an entrepreneur.

From 1996 to 1997 and 1998 to 2001, Sanjay established the corporate real estate team for CBRE in New Delhi and Mumbai respectively.

In May 2001 Sanjay moved to Cushman & Wakefield as National Head Markets and was inducted into National Executive Committee.

In 2004 Sanjay became the head of Transaction Services and subsequently launched retail agency, land & industrial, project marketing and strengthened residential & capital markets.

In 2006 Sanjay was appointed as Deputy Managing Director and was promoted as Joint Managing Director in 2007.

Shahzaad Dalal
Vice Chairman
IL&FS Investment Managers Limited

Mr Shahzaad Dalal is Vice Chairman, IL&FS Investment Managers Ltd (IIML), one of India’s leading Private Equity Fund Managers with US$ 2.5 billion under management. The private equity funds managed by IIML have a wide canvas across sectors in infrastructure such as telecom, transport, power and oil and gas as well as emerging areas in real estate, technology, retail, life sciences and consumer services. Mr Dalal currently leads a highly competent team of 40 professionals involved in managing over 95 investments.  Mr Dalal is also on the Boards of various companies to guide their growth plans and other strategic developments. Overall, Mr Dalal assumes greater responsibility towards the crafting of exits through a range of diverse methods, including IPO’s and strategic sales.

Prior to this, Mr Dalal was Chief Executive Officer of the Asset Management Business of IL&FS. Within the IL&FS Group he has undertaken various responsibilities including overall planning and raising of resources for IL&FS, its group companies and other IL&FS sponsored infrastructure projects. Mr Dalal has also headed the initiative for large value structured finance/transactions in leasing, project finance and privatizations.

Sunil Agarwal, Civil Engineer, Urban Planner and MBA, Mr. Agarwal has vast and diverse experience in the Indian real estate industry. He has worked at senior management positions with Colliers Jardine, Chesterton Meghraj, HSBC and ICICI Ventures , where has been responsible for  Advisory, Transaction services, Strategic Organizational re-structuring initiatives and Private Equity Investments.

In April 2006, he co-founded South Asian Real Estate (“SARE”), a real estate Development and Funds Management Company. Mr. Agarwal is currently the Country Head of SARE for India.

Mr. Agarwal is associated with a number of bodies and initiatives for promotion and development of Real Estate Industry in India.  He is a fellow of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and member Advisory Committee of CREDAI NCR. Mr. Agarwal is an adjunct faculty and member board of studies for School of Planning CEPT, Ahmedabad and mentor to the Real Estate and Enterpreneurship Club at the Indian School of Business.
